Workin' Hard!

It was a COLD 22 degrees this afternoon when Hoyt couldn't stand staying in the house a minute longer. I agreed to let him go out in the backyard for "just a little bit". He made the most of his time by scooping up as much snow as possible with his tractor. Even though it was cold he sure had a great time!

Hoyt pulled the tractor all over the yard....what a hard worker!

Snow Angel

We have received a good 6-8 inches of snow over the past few days, so Hoyt and Ryon made the best of it! They had fun on the quad and then Hoyt made snow angels on our 1/2 acre front lawn....what a great canvas!!

On the quad with dad - Hoyt is wearing his safety goggles from his tool kit....lookin' good!

A little cold, but ready to go out again and make....

Snow Angels!!

This kid loves the snow

Hoyt and Ryon - I decided to stay warm indoors with Jett.

While I am ready for spring, Hoyt could handle a few more months of winter!

Aftermath...

This is Hoyt the day after everyone left town - he was so tired he fell asleep in our bed with his football gear on. We just took off the football pads, put on his PJ's, and transferred him to his own bed and he slept 13 hours. What a weekend!!

Our Boys

Just a little comparison of Jett and Hoyt on their blessing days. What adorable little guys (if I do say so myself)!

Blessings

This past weekend we blessed Jett, and some family was able to come into town for the big event. We had such a great time visiting - I wished everyone lived just a little bit closer!! We can't believe Jett is 8 weeks old already. I'd like to freeze time and keep him this age just a little longer; he is such a sweet baby!

Out to dinner

Jett slept through most of his big day!

Hoyt loved having Isaiah and Caleb here. They had a "sleep-over" every night and enjoyed watching shows in my bed after church on Sunday.

My Little Valentines'

Here are our two little Valentines' - pretty sweet if I do say so myself! Happy Valentine's Day!!

Sweets

What would Valentine's Day be without some heart-shaped sugar cookies? Hoyt and I had some fun while Jett was napping today and made our yearly batch of Valentine's cookies. Always a mess....and always fun! (Pretty tasty too!)

Cutting the cookies, one of his favorite things to do.

He has to taste them right out of the oven - the verdict was good (he ate two, and then I had to stop him so we could decorate)

Frosting....sprinkles....marshmellos....YUM!

The finished product!

Saturday

On Saturday I was inside feeding Jett, and Hoyt walked in looking like this:
He and Ryon had been out in the garage - Ryon working under his truck and Hoyt working under his bike! Hoyt's pants got dirty so Ryon took them off and Hoyt walked in with is jacket, beanie, and tool box but NO PANTS....hilarious. I had to take a picture.

Jett hung out in the house with me while the other boys were outside!

Big Boy Bunkbed

Hoyt is currently LOVING his new bedroom furniture! We decided to get bunk beds, which could easily convert into two twin beds, because we figure Hoyt and Jett will most likely share a room someday. You can imagine what a hit the ladder is (I have threatened to take it down a few times!), and Hoyt can often be found playing "camping" on the top bunk with his horses and stuffed animals. The other day he explained to me that he was having a sleep-over on the top bunk with his animals!
Loving the top bunk!

I was taking pictures of Jett one afternoon, and Hoyt told me he wanted his picture taken too. On this day he was dressed up in his "racing attire". The dress up clothes he got for Christmas have been a big hit!!
