Halloween 2013

For our ward's Halloween trunk-or-treat we went with an easy family theme - western wear.  We were all cowboys, which is a costume pretty easy to come by at our house!  Stacia even got in on the action (even though she slept pretty much the entire time; she still looked cute)!

Vampire Hoyt

Hoyt wanted to be something scary again this year for Halloween, so he opted for a vampire.  He wore his costume to school and to his best friend, Lea's birthday party.  I was able to go into his kindergarten class and help with the Halloween party - it was lots of fun.  I was in charge of games so we played pin the nose on the jack-o-lantern and bean bag toss into the witches cauldron.  Hoyt and his friends declared that it was the "best Halloween party ever"!

In the Saucer

So, our little Stacia was getting bored with laying on the floor, sitting in her bouncer, or being in her swing.  We decided that propping her up in the saucer would help her get the lay of the land around here.  She seemed to like it!  We can't believe she is already two months old...time needs to slow down!

Pumpkin Carving FHE

If "pumpkin picking" is at the top of our list of favorite things to do, "pumpkin carving" is not far behind.  The boys love helping dad carve their jack-o-lanterns (even though they both have issues with pulling out the seeds - it's yucky)!  Every year Hoyt wants a scary pumpkin, and every year Ryon tries his best to deliver.  I'm in charge of the picture taking, the candle for the pumpkin and dessert for afterwards.  (We all have our roles!)

I think this year's pumpkin is just the right amount of scary....don't you?

Fall

Fall is finally here!  The leaves are turning the prettiest shades of orange, red and yellow.  All of the trees at our house are turning color and the leaves are starting to fall.  Hoyt and Jett think it's so fun to go outside and rake them up.  Everyday after school they head outside to start raking - to say I'm OK with that is the understatement of the year!!  I hope they enjoy raking all of these leaves for years to come!

Church Boys

Today was the primary program at church.  While Jett wasn't in it this year (he will be next year), Hoyt was very excited to get up and say his part which he had completely memorized.  Can't believe he's getting to be so big!!

All I Want For Christmas....

Can anyone guess what this boy is going to be asking Santa for this Christmas?  To say he's excited about loosing all these teeth is an understatement!  He has lost his top two front teeth in the last few weeks and he's been pretty happy about what the tooth fairy has left for him (dollars mom...dollars!).

Beautiful Girl

Just a few (or maybe a lot) more pictures of our sweet girl on her blessing day.  How we love her!

Stacia's Big Day

Since our church started at 9, we all had to be up bright and early to make it to sacrament meeting just a little bit early.  I think I slept a total of 3 hours Saturday night!  Luckily we all made it on time and Ryon gave Stacia a beautiful blessing.  She looked like a little doll baby in her blessing dress (which was the same dress that I wore when I was blessed), and didn't cry at all during her blessing.  After church we all came back to the house for a few pictures and lots of good food.

We are certainly blessed to have this little girl be part of our family, and we were so happy that so many family members could come and join us for her special day.
