Skills

Hoyt has recently started drawing people. The other morning he came to Ryon and I to show us something he had drawn. He said, "Look at this....I drew dad, mom and Hoyt." When I asked him who the biggest person was, he said it was me. Thanks Hoyt!!

Layover in Reno

On the way home, we stopped in Reno to stay the night and break up the trip. We stayed at Christa's and had fun "catching up". Brynn loved holding Jett and Hoyt was in heaven playing with the big boys. That night a few of the Reno girls got together. Oh how I miss those ladies!

Jett loved being held by Brynn

I always love having to drive through Reno....because I get to visit with all these girls!

"Brudders"

Hoyt thoroughly enjoys being a big "brudder". He loves to hold Jett, talks to him all the time, and loves to make him smile. I think these two are going to grow up being great friends.

San Francisco Zoo

While we were in California we decided to take a trip to the San Francisco Zoo. It was a beautiful day (one of the ONLY days it wasn't raining!) and it was sunny and warm, which is amazing considering we were in San Fran. The zoo was beautiful, we saw all of the animals and had a terrific time.

Hoyt with cousins Kaylee and Kaycee

The kids loved the giraffes and all of the other "safari" animals

Holly and I thought we would pose as giraffes too!

The minute after I took this picture, Hoyt fell off. What a great way to start off the day!

The gorillas were amazing!

I think the only animal we didn't see was an elephant - so we took a picture with this one

The cousins

Hoyt had been sick the night before we went to the zoo and I was afraid we were going to have to miss the trip. However, after a blessing and some medicine he began feeling better and we were able to go.

My little peacock

Had to get a picture with grandma!

This peacock was wandering around the children's play area

Jett was the best baby all day. He loved riding and sleeping in his stroller, and never cried. What an angel!

What a View

Every morning while the boys and I were at my parent's house, I would walk on the treadmill and look out the window at this view.

These are the times when I really miss California!

Trip to California

My Grandma has been pretty ill for the last few weeks, so the boys and I decided to take a trip to California to visit family. Ryon drove with us to Reno, where he had a business meeting, and then I continued on to California for two weeks. We had a great time (even though it rained almost every day we were there)! In fact, I had to stay a few days longer than I expected, because there was no way I could get over the Sierra's with the amount of snow that was falling!

The boys were wonderful little travelers, and the drive back by ourselves went pretty smoothly. Perhaps the three of us will be taking more road trips in the future!

We had a lot of fun at Grandma and Grandpa's house!

Uncle Caleb is a main attraction every time we visit. He is so good to play with Hoyt, and babysit every time I need him.

One morning the boys were building castles in Brandon's room. Hoyt always calls his a temple. When I ask him what he's building he will say, "Mom....it's a temple. Don't you see the angel Moroni on top?" Love it!

The cats and dogs are also a big hit at grandma's house

One afternoon we got to have lunch with grandma, big grandma (great grandma) and Aunt Ann

Luckily, big grandma was feeling much better and had completely gotten over her pneumonia

When we got back home after being gone for seventeen days Ryon thought Jett had doubled in weight!

A trip to California would not be complete without dinner with the Galt High Girls. (Oh the good ol' days!)

Lovin' Uncle Caleb

We are headed back to California in June for Caleb and Seth's graduation from high school. Another road trip....hopefully it will go just as well as this trip!

Two Months

Jett turned two months last week. We can hardly believe that it has been two months already - he is getting so big, cooing and talking, smiling, and doing all the cute things babies do. When we went to his two month appointment he weighed 13 pounds and is 23 3/4 inches long. He is a bit behind Hoyt, but not by too much. (I looked in Hoyt's baby book and he weighed 14.6 pounds at 2 months - what a chunk!)
Hanging out with mom on a lazy Saturday morning

Getting some time on his tummy - which he continues to hate!

Watching cartoons with Hoyt (Hoyt loves to do this; he's sure that Jett is enjoying Mickey Mouse as much as he is!)

Mug shot - look at that round face!
