On Saturday, we all drove back to Idaho to spend the weekend at our house. It was great to have my mom and dad, Brandon, Isaiah as well as Noelle's family here. We had a nice Saturday and Sunday, went to church, and had an early 60th birthday celebration for my mom. Everyone was gone by Monday morning, but it was certainly fun while it lasted!! I only took three pictures of Sunday, one of Ryon and my dad sleeping after church and two of my mom with one of her birthday desserts....the carrot cake!

Game Time
Friday night's BYU game was awesome! We got there early to be down on the field while the players warmed up, and Brandon got to be right outside the tunnel when the team ran on to the field before the game. The players and coaches gave him high-fives and shook his hand - pretty cool!
They gave us a few amazing seats right behind the BYU bench, and a few seats up a little bit higher. However, by the second half we were all sitting in the great seats - the little boys sat on laps, so it worked! Hoyt loved the game and loved singing the fight song. He would yell BYU...BYU over and over; it was pretty cute. It was a great game, and BYU won. After the game, we got to be at the tunnel when the players came off the field and some coaches and players stopped to talk to us again. Luckily, the Biglers babysat Jett for us so we could really enjoy ourselves. I knew it would be a nightmare to take a 20 month old to the game, so it was such a blessing that they could watch him. We had a terrific time!!

Fun at BYU
We had the awesome opportunity the last few days to spend some time at BYU with my family. Brandon was honored as a Thursday's hero for the BYU football team, so we were able to go down and tour the football facility, meet with the team on the practice field, attend the game, and were even able to go down on the field before the game to watch the players warm-up. We were also able to spend lots of time with the Biglers, they were nice enough to let us stay with them, and they got to come with us to tour the football facility as well.
This experience was also special, because Austin is on the team and was able to present Brandon with all of the things the team had for him; numerous shirts, hats, a flag signed by the entire team, posters for his room, etc. Bronco Mendenhall also gave Brandon a book, sat and talked with him for quite some time and gave Brandon a check from his foundation. To say it was an amazing experience for everyone is kind of an understatement! We definitely had a great three days! Here are a few pictures (well, maybe more than a few) of our tour of the football facility and meeting the team on the practice field. The last picture is of all the guys "racing". To say Austin won is quite the understatement!!

Coyote Hunters
Ryon came home from work the other day with a surprise for Hoyt in the back of his truck. Somehow during his busy day (I'm adding a little sarcasm here!) Ryon had found time to do a little coyote hunting, and had brought his kill home to show the boys. Hoyt loved it, but also couldn't believe that Ryon would go coyote hunting without him. Oh....boys!!

Toothless!
This little boy lost his first tooth today, and it was a BIG DEAL! It had been loose for the last week or so, and when he first told Ryon and I that it was loose we didn't believe him. We were in denial that our little boy was actually old enough to loose a tooth! When it finally came out he was so excited, and of course we had to take some pictures.
We put the tooth in a little bag for the tooth fairy, and Hoyt asked if we could write the tooth fairy a letter asking if he could keep his tooth to take to preschool for show-and-tell. I told him that I was sure the tooth fairy wouldn't mind, and the next morning he was elated when the tooth fairy had left him four coins (quarters) and his tooth. Honestly, we can't believe he's old enough to be loosing teeth....wasn't he just getting his first tooth about a year ago? Seriously, where does the time go?

Let's Read
If there is one thing my boys love to do, it's read! Yesterday afternoon I found them on the couch like this - Hoyt was reading to Jett. As you can see from the pictures, I think they're having a pretty good time!

Bull Ridin'
One of the "greatest things" (Hoyt's words) Hoyt got to do at the fair was ride the mechanical bull. We passed the bull when we first arrived at the fair and we promised him that before we left for home we would let him do it. He was so excited and talked about it for the entire 3 hours we walked around. FINALLY....when we were done with rides, he was able to ride the bull. When he got up close to get on the bull, he started to get a bit nervous, but we told him that he'd be OK and he climbed on up. He had the time of his life! A little group gathered around to cheer him on, and I think he could have stayed up there all day if it would have been a possibility. I let him know that that is the closest he will ever get to riding a real bull!!

Easern Idaho State Fair
We took a little trip over to Blackfoot this past weekend to go to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. Ryon talks about it every year, and since we haven't been in a few years, this was a good time to go. Grandma Murray came with us to show us all of the cool things to see. The boys loved the shark exhibit - there were even real sharks in the tank, and they also were big fans of the petting zoo. They fed the goats, Hoyt milked a pretend cow, and they got to sit on lots of cool tractors. (Jett was pretty impressed by all of the tractors he was able to "drive".)
After the cool exhibits we took the boys on a few rides. Hoyt and I braved the giant slide, while Ryon took the boys on the merry-go-round. Jett wasn't all that impressed by the boat ride, but Hoyt loved the "dropping frog" ride that lifted the kids up and then let them drop back down to the ground. After a good 3 hours at the fair, Jett was ready for a nap so we took the boys back to grandma and grandpa's and then Ryon and I got to go out to lunch by ourselves! What a treat!!
