Easter at the Murray's

We had a wonderful Easter dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Murray's house, and then did the Easter egg hunt that was supposed to have happened the day before! Noelle, Kyle and the kids were there, along with Kelly and Marcus - and everyone had lots of fun.

We stayed in Blackfoot for a few days because Ryon had to visit farmers for work. That gave us the opportunity to spend some time in Pocatello with Noelle and the kids. Noelle took me couponing (I got a great deal on diapers and wipes) while Hoyt and Landon had lots of time to play, which they are getting better at (more playing and not as much fighting over toys)!

Grandma Kathy got each of the boys the movie "Tangled" and they had to watch it immediately after the Easter egg hunt

Easter Sunday

So.....it was all planned. The plan for Easter this year was to head over to Pocatello on Saturday for a big Easter egg hunt at Noelle's house, and then spend Easter Sunday in Blackfoot. Oh how quickly plans can change! The Thursday night before Easter, Ryon and I had a meeting with the Stake President and Ryon received a new calling to serve on the high council. Our stake was having stake conference on Easter Sunday, so plans changed and we stayed for conference where Ryon was sustained and afterwards made the jaunt over to Blackfoot.

(Ryon will do a great job in his new calling; however, the boys and I will miss having him at church with us!)

I'm not sure he can get much cuter....

Ditto for this one!

I love my boys!

Springtime in Idaho

While the sun has been shining the last few days, it is still pretty cold outside. Hoyt was in the backyard with Ryon the other day and I had to get a few pictures. As you can clearly see, Ryon dressed him for the COLD....baseball cap, beanie, coat, boots, etc.

Despite the cold, I think it can be said that Hoyt enjoyed his time outside!

Smiley!

This is the site I get to see every morning when I walk into Jett's room to get him from his crib.....Mr. Smiley!! He's now sleeping at least 10 hours a night and we are loving it!

"My Gurls"

We had some visitors for Spring Break....and boy did we have fun! Allison, Ashlan and Malorie came for three days and Hoyt was in heaven! (To be honest, I was in heaven too. Another adult in the house to talk to, Hoyt not following me around every minute of the day, and lots of hands to hold Jett!!) While they were here we had fun at Jump-2-It, the kids enjoyed playing outside, and Allison and I even made it out by ourselves one morning for a few hours of shopping.

The day they left Hoyt came to me and asked, "Mom, when are my "Gurls" going to come back?" OH, we wish the Biglers could be just around the corner like the good old days. We miss our friends, the Sunday dinners sitting and laughing around the table, and Hoyt definitely misses his surrogate siblings!

Big Boy!

Jett is now 3 and 1/2 months old and turning into quite a big boy! He is very social and loves to talk, smile and flirt with everyone. When he wakes up in the morning he will lay and talk to the animals on his mobile for 30 minutes or more. (Ryon and I love to lay in bed and listen to him on the monitor.) He is sleeping 9 hours a night, eats extremely well, and continues to be one of the happiest babies around! Jett is definitely a "people" person and does not like being left alone when he is awake. If Hoyt and I walk out of the room he gets fussy, but the moment we return he's just fine. He loves for anyone and everyone to talk to him and usually rewards any attention with a smile. The other morning I tried to take some pictures of him - I don't think he was in a picture taking mood, but I managed to get a few good ones.

My favorite!

He's starting to like "tummy time" a little more these days. However, if he's on his tummy for too long, he'll let you know that he's ready to be done

Jett also loves to play with his hands. He loves clasping them together, eating them, and watching them move

What a handsome boy!

My Little "Jetterbug"

Hoyt loves to call Jett his little "Jetterbug". Whenever Jett is fussy, Hoyt will walk over and say, "What's wrong Jetterbug?" The nickname has stuck, so the whole family is now using it. When I was taking pictures of Jett, I tried to get a few good ones with both boys. It was difficult, due to the fact that they were both tired of having their pictures taken, but I think a few turned out OK. (I'm crossing my fingers that I'll get some good photos on Easter!)

Hoyt's new smile....seriously? We're going to need to work on this!

Favorite Thing

Jett's favorite thing to do these days is lay under his jungle gym and talk....talk....talk. He will lay under his animals for an hour and smile, talk and grab them with his hands. It is amazing how much he is growing and changing - we are loving every minute of it!

Here is the happy boy talking to his friends

Jett talks so much, and so loudly, that Hoyt will usually come over and see what all the fuss is about.
