We have had some beautiful sunsets the last few nights, and when I looked outside this evening this is what I saw. The boys loved the "pink sky" so I stepped outside in the 20 degree weather to snap a picture from the back porch. Gorgeous!!

Agri-Action 2013
Every year Ryon has a booth at the Twin Falls Agri-Action event. The boys love to go and see their dad, ride on all of the tractors, and indulge in the free popcorn and candy. Before we left the house, Hoyt asked if he could wear one of his big cowboy hats (a hat that used to be Ryon's grandfathers). I think Hoyt and his hat were the "hit of the convention" that day. He was asked numerous times by old cowboys if they could buy his hat. He was pretty proud of himself for thinking to wear it!

Let's Color
This last month has been so cold that the boys have not been able to go outside and play at all. I try to find fun things for them to do in the house - they can play in the toy room, run around with swords and guns in the basement, play basketball on the little hoop, watch movies, etc. but more often than not they are "bored".
Lately when they are sick of playing with toys downstairs we color. Jett is loving to color these days (I have to watch him pretty closely though or he'll start coloring the table, chairs, etc.) and Hoyt is always game for a good coloring project. Coloring has definitely helped us fill the long, cold, boring days in the house.

Lazy Saturday Morning
There's nothing better on a freezing Saturday morning than sitting in front of the fire with dad watching cartoons - that's what Hoyt and Jett would say!

"M" is for Mustache
Today was "M" day at Hoyt's preschool. I love his preschool and his teacher - she does such fun things with the kids and Hoyt is learning so much. Today when the kids walked out to meet their parents they each had a mustache on to celebrate the letter "M"; it was so cute! Hoyt thought he looked pretty cool, and I told him if he takes after his dad he'll be able to grow a mustache like that by the time he's 12 (just kidding Ryon!!).

Jett turns 2!
Our little boy turned two on December 27th, but since I was still "sick as a dog" we postponed the celebration for a week or so until I felt better. I felt bad that we didn't celebrate on his birthday, but he didn't have any idea so I guess it's OK.
We can't believe that Jett is 2 already. He has definitely turned into a little "spark plug" with his own big personality. Here are some of the great things about Jett at age two:
* He loves to talk and yell and make his wishes known
*Whenever someone else is talking and he wants to talk he will say "hush". Usually it is "Heet (Hoyt) hush, and occasionally he tells mom and dad to "hush" as well. Such a stinker!
*He LOVES Annie and wants to go out and feed her morning and night. Every horse is an "Annie" to him so whenever we pass a field with horses he yells out "mom....a Annie"!
*He is definitely all boy and likes to play with cars, trucks, swords, castle guys, all Hoyt's legos (which causes quite a few fights) etc.
*He is addicted to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Little Einsteins. He would watch all day if I let him.
*He is also addicted to milk. He would drink nothing else if he had his way.
*He loves his blanket (beea) and has to sleep with it, his Mickey Mouse and his Annie horse every night. Heaven help us if one of them goes missing!
*He continues to have the longest lashes and biggest blue eyes. Whenever we are out people comment about his eyes and how handsome he is.
*Even though he and Hoyt fight, they also love to play together especially outside. They love to go out and ride bikes, jump on the trampoline and swing.
*He loves going to nursery and especially loves blowing bubbles at the end of nursery time. Once we get to church he can't stop talking about bubbles and can't get over the fact that we have to sit through Sacrament meeting before he can go play.
We certainly can't imagine our family without Jetty and we're excited to see how he will grow and the funny things he will do this year. Happy Birthday big boy!!

We Love to Sled
Hoyt has found another passion....sledding! He just can't seem to get enough of it. We have had plenty of snow for sledding, and Hoyt has wanted to sled everyday. Even when the high temperature is 15 degrees he wants to be out in it. Ryon has been great and has taken him sledding quite a few times. Today I was feeling "decent" (still recovering from the flu) so Jett and I decided to tag along so I could get some pictures and Jett could do some sledding with Ryon.
Luckily there is a little sledding hill about 5 minutes from our house. As we were driving there the car said the temp. outside was 12 degrees. I told Ryon that it was too cold to sled, but he and Hoyt said they could handle it! (To be honest I was worried about Jett and myself!) Hoyt had a blast sledding down the hill, and Jett liked it for about 10 minutes until he was cold and ready to go. After 15 or 20 minutes I took Jett to the car and we went for a drive, while Ryon and Hoyt continued to sled. When I came back to pick them up Hoyt wanted to stay, but I told him that it was too cold to be out any longer! He told me that he wasn't cold and that he wished he could sled everyday!
