My boys LOVE decorating the Christmas tree! Every year we get out all of the decorations and they decorate until their little hearts are content. I then send them off to bed and usually spend about two hours rearranging things! One of these days I'm going to get them a tree for the basement that they can decorate however they would like. I love that they love Christmas and all the fun traditions that come with it!
I decided to do our annual family picture while we were in California for Thanksgiving. It was quite the adventure with all the kids crying at one time or another as we were trying to get them done. We got a few (like two) good ones, so I guess it was worth it! I love pictures, but sometimes taking them is torture!! Here are some of the good, the bad and the ugly!
Hoyt definitely was blessed with my teeth.....big, pearly whites! I kind of figured that we would need to be seeing the orthodontist sooner than later to talk about extracting some of his baby teeth to make room for the bigger ones coming in. He was a bit apprehensive about going, but when we got there he was overjoyed to see an Angry Birds wall with four different ipads that you could play. He was in heaven! After our appointment I took him out for a donut - so his morning ended up being a lot better that he expected. (Even though the orthodontist said he needed three extractions!)
These boys wanted to go out in the cold this morning to jump on the tramp. They think if they put their boots on their feet and beanies on their heads they are ready to go. (Jett thinks PJ's, boots and a beanie is what he should wear all day, everyday!)
This sweet girl is going to have eyelashes just like her brothers - so long and pretty. (I was worried the boys would get all the beautiful lashes!)
Most mornings Jett can be found wherever Stacia is. He likes to look at her, talk to her, squeal at her, poke her; you know...brotherly stuff. Poor miss Stacia is usually crying (we're really going to be happy when the colic and reflux are gone!) but Jett sits by her anyways. I think these two will grow up to be great friends!
Home Depot run with mom. If she's out and about she is usually happy - so I guess running errands with a two month old is a good thing!!
This was Hoyt's first year of flag football and boy was it fun! Every boy on his team was in first or second grade, so he was the youngest (but not the smallest)! Hoyt was really aggressive and loved pulling the flags from the other team. In fact, Ryon told him that if he pulled three flags in one game he could get a new game to play on the iphone. As soon as Hoyt had pulled his third flag, he looked at where we were sitting on the sidelines and said, "Dad...now I can get my new game!" I guess a little incentive is always good!!
