Our Fourth of July started with a stake breakfast at a park near our house. We had only been to our new ward a handful of times, so we wondered if we would know anyone at the breakfast. All I knew was that I wanted to go and have a free breakfast before heading out to Buhl for the annual 4th of July parade. We got to the breakfast around 8:30 and the park was full. We saw a few people who we recognized from church, had a great big breakfast, and Hoyt and Jett were able to play a few games and run around before we headed to the parade.
After the breakfast we went to meet the Darrow's in Buhl for the parade. While it is a very small town parade, the kids love it and collect at least as much candy as they do at Halloween! By the time the parade ended, everyone was hot and sweaty and ready for some "down time". Here are some pictures of the first part of our Fourth:
