And...when we had to leave to run a few errands he was not a "happy camper" until his blanket was beside him in the car seat. My mom says that I used to drag a blanket along with me at Hoyt's age - and I think I turned out OK - so I guess I won't worry!!

We May Have a Problem
It seems that Hoyt does not want to do anything these days without his blanket! Lately I have been trying to leave it in his crib, but after his nap on Friday he had to have it. When I put him in his highchair for lunch he insisted on having the blanket in his seat with him.

Okay...dig in!!! The only time my son does not have his "rubbies" is when he is at school (he is in first grade). They been with us every single place we have stayed for the last 6 years....they are pretty haggard! My only advice is to see if you can find some "subs" to use while the real thing is washing, or gets lets in a hotel. Pretty handsome little fella you have there. Take care.
Eh, eventually they fall apart and disintegrate. I've never seen a kid show up for the first day of kindergarten with one, so yeah, don't sweat it. Only sweat it when bedtime rolls around when your out of town, and you discover you left it at home :)
Yep, those little blankies are pretty important. Mine doesn't care if it's the same blanket, he likes to stick his thumb in his mouth and hold on to anything he can grab. I prefer a blanket, because sometimes it is a dirty sock or even undies. He gets pretty desperate. I can't wait to see Hoyt in person, he is a doll!
All three of my girl have a blanket that they will not part with-even Brynna, who's five! I figure, a blanket is probably better than a binki, right?
I think its cute that he wants to carry his blanket everywhere. Hannah had a bunny that she adopted from Pauls sister. Hannah loved that thing and she took it everywhere, except church. She was literally the velveteen rabbbit.
Don't feel bad, all of my kids have had that special blankie that they couldn't live without!
Treyson did the same thing for almost a year, then one day he just didn't want it anymore. Hoyt is so cute.
I really feel sorry for you Heather. RJ never talks about Fantasy Football and I'm glad because as you can see I'm at the bottom. Good Luck!
I totally stumbled on your blog!! It has been so long. Your little one is adorable. Our first is almost 16 months. Her name is Iris. We are expecting a little boy in November. Where are you guys living now?
